Welcome to the Finest in Veterinary Care
Since 1959, Central Veterinary Hospital has strived to bring excellent medicine and surgery as well as a gentle, compassionate touch to the pets entrusted to us. We focus on preventive, orthopedic and internal medicine for dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds and reptiles. Our hospital provides 24-hour nursing care for all hospitalized and boarding pets, so your best friend is never alone. For more than 30 years, the American Animal Hospital Association has accredited Central Veterinary Hospital. We are one of only 3,000 hospitals nationwide that voluntarily participate in the accreditation program, with trained consultants visiting regularly to ensure compliance with AAHA’s standards for medical services and hospital facilities. Our staff also attends regular training in exceptional client service so we can give you an inviting and comforting experience.
Wellness Care for Your Best Friend
Regular veterinary care will help your companion enjoy a long, healthy life. Our wellness visits include a comprehensive physical exam, vaccinations based on your pet’s age and risk assessment, intestinal parasite screen, heartworm test and blood and urine tests to check the health of your pet’s internal organs. We also will discuss nutrition, dental care you can provide at home, exercise and preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites. Working in partnership with you, we can take a preventive approach that ensures your best friend gets the best care possible. Central Veterinary Hospital also offers medical boarding for pets on medication, older companions or those who need 24-hour care.
Our comprehensive surgical services include spays and neuters, soft-tissue surgery, mass removals and gastrointestinal surgery. Our doctors have a special interest in orthopedic surgery such as fracture repairs and cruciate ligaments. For your pet’s safety, we require a blood test before anesthesia for complex cases or older pets and strongly recommend testing for all surgical patients. We use the safest anesthesia available and monitor your pet’s heart rate, blood pressure and level of oxygen in the blood during surgery. Patients staying overnight have supervised 24-hour nursing care, which is a standard of care that distinguishes us from many veterinary hospitals.
